Overview: Yemen has developed a preliminary national mercury inventory in 2008. Yemen has no any specific provision dealing with safe and sound management and use of either products/equipment containing mercury or mercury compounds nor other specific chemicals. Existing legislation is focused on the overall management of chemicals particularly related to pesticides and waste management.
