Ethiopia

Overview: The most recent National Profile to Assess the National Infrastructure for the Management of Chemicals in Ethiopia was developed in 1999. At this moment the country already had priority concerns related to mercury exposure as pollution of inland waters, occupational health impacts, air pollution and soil contaminants. Management of mercury and heavy metals is not specifically referenced in the Ethiopian legal framework.
