Overview: A number of organizations conducted activities to understand the current situation and dangers associated with the use of mercury in Jordan. The activities were conducted within the overall framework to develop an initial national mercury report to help inform the national enabling activities process in the lead-up to ratification. Mercury has been already banned in medical devices and a storage facility for mercury containing products has been established.
