From March to May 2017, UNITAR held the second guided session of the online course MercuryLearn from March to May 2017. The course aimed at enabling environmental experts to develop a comprehensive national inventory of mercury emissions and releases using a standardized methodology and database provided by the UNEP Toolkit.

The course was offered in English and Spanish and had a total of 15 participants from Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Saint Lucia and Jamaica. The participants that successfully completed all the activities and tests received a certificate of completion.
