The Ministry of Environment of Senegal held a two days validation workshop under the MIA project. The National Steering Committee revised and made comments on the legislative and institutional report, the inventory, environmental impact and the mercury profile. The activities to be developed on the next months were also presented and discussed:

• Awareness raising campaign 
• Priority setting and plans of action and MIA report
• Next steps to implement the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
